24-7 Prayer
As part of the Methodist Church ‘Pray Without Ceasing’ Year of Prayer we have got involved with 24-7 Prayer.
For us that has meant organising a day of prayer once a month and installing a semi-permanent prayer room at the back of our church.
At the moment it is an improvised cloth enclosure that hopefully gives some privacy and isolation to the person involved in prayer. It also contains some pictures, maps and other objects to help inspire prayer for the people and world around us. Not everyone chooses to use the prayer room during the 24 hours and the entire church will be open for use. We have a toilet, a kettle and tea bags on site.

The Losers Group meet on a Thursday evening at 8pm and is a group for people without degrees, most people who go are in there 20’s.
The Morning Group is an all female group who meet on a Thursday morning around tea or coffee but sometimes breakfast.
AdLib prep Group meet on a Monday evening and this group involves youths as well as adults.
Shepton Group meet on a Thursday evening and is a tight knit group “in to” theology and looking for new opportunities.
Other groups are in the wings and if you want to form a group, join a group or need help setting things in motion give Gary a ring on 01749 840131- hopefully there will be others waiting to join you.
